    UPDATE Jet Airways has suspended its Manchester-Mumbai service until the end of April as the crisis at the Indian carrier continues.
    The airline has been forced to ground at least 48 aircraft as it is unable to meet leasing costs.

    18/03/2019 h 11.45 Jet Airways has now started making drastic cuts to their international network as well. For now, the cuts seem to be limited to the routes being operated by the airline's 737 fleet – a large part of which including all their new 737 MAX's have been grounded for non-payment of leases.

    18/03/2019 h 7.30 Jet Airways indefinitely suspends all its Abu Dhabi flights from 18 March for operational reasons.

    Flight operations in Pakistan are only to and from Karachi International, Peshawar International, Quetta International, and Islamabad International airports, with restricted entry and exit points.
    Affected passengers should contact their airline to confirm flight status.

    08/03/2019 h 10.30 Pakistan's airspace will remain closed for all transit flights till tomorrow (March 9), the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said on Friday. The airspace has been closed for all overflying flights from east to west and west to east till 3pm on March 9 while some transit flights between the north and south of Pakistan's airspace have been permitted.

    08/03/2019 h 8.00 Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Friday announced that the country’s airspace would be fully re-opened after flights at some airports were suspended on Thursday. Passengers have been advised to contact their airlines for details on flight schedules.

    07/03/2019 Flight operations will remain suspended at Rahim Yar Khan, Sialkot, Skardu, Gilgit and Sukkur airports for an additional 24 hours at some airports across Pakistan. CAA further said that operations at those airports where flight operations have already resumed will continue as per normal till 5am on March 15. Flight operations will run as per schedule at Chitral, Multan, Karachi, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore and Islamabad airports till 5am on March 15.

    06/03/2019 The Pakistani airspace has been closed along the Line of Control (LoC). According to the notam issued by CAA, Pakistan’s airspace will remain closed till 8am on Thursday.The airplanes will not be able to travel across the LoC. A special route will be used for air travel in the region.

    UPDATE Fiji Airports says some of its controllers returned to work today while many others advised that they will return soon. The management this afternoon said they have written to each and every controller advising them that the Employment Minister has declared their coordinated leave an unlawful strike.

    21/03/2019 Safety at airports in Fiji has been compromised as workers continue to take leave in protest of pay and working conditions. Faiz Khan, Executive Chairman of Airports Fiji, in a statement said the company has held meetings with controllers and looks forward to further discussions. Only five officers have remained at their posts and are working round the clock at the Nadi and Nausori airport towers. On a normal shift, there are 17 officers on duty.

    20/03/2019 The majority of Fiji's air traffic controllers at both of Fiji's international airports have not been reporting to work since Monday this week. They're in protest over pay and working conditions.

    Police shot the driver dead. The man intentionally drove into the crowd. The survivors were taken to hospital.

    San Francisco International Airport announced plans to close Runway 28L for 20 days in September to construct a new base layer below the runway surface. The closure will begin on Saturday, Sept. 7, and is expected to reopen on Friday, Sept. 27. Airport officials advise travelers arriving or departing SFO during this period to expect delays and cancellations, as the closure will reduce the airport's overall runway capacity.

    UPDATE Belgian air traffic controllers have continued their strike actions on Thursday leading to occasional traffic interruptions in several airports.

    The actions will happen from 6:00 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Charleroi, 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in Antwerp, 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in Ostend and are going on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Liège, as announced by Skeyes spokesperson.

    Disturbances are also expected in Brussels but we do not know yet at what time.

    20/03/2019 Air traffic to and from Belgium will still be disrupted until at least mid-day Wednesday, 20 March due to the actions of Skeyes' air traffic controllers.
    According to Brussels Airport, traffic could be impacted Wednesday until 1:00 p.m. local time. Delays are around 45 minutes. This is expected to cause a knock-on effect, which could see delays at the airport continuing throughout the day.

    France bans Mahan Air from operating flights in country.

    Mahan Air officials confirmed it will halt its flights to Paris as of April 1, saying French government sanctions forced the cancellations.
    Mahan is Iran's second-largest carrier with its Paris schedule covering four flights on a weekly basis.

    The airline has already suffered similar bans, including one imposed by Germany in January.

    Delhi Metro, Noida Metro and Lucknow Metro will not work during specific times on March 21, because of Holi celebrations.

    Delhi Metro will be closed till 2:30 p.m. on the day of Holi. In addition, Metro feeder bus services will also not be available till 2 p.m. and will run as per schedule thereafter. The Metro services will start from 2:30 p.m. on all lines on March 21.

    Services on the Noida-Greater Noida metro rail will be available only after 2 p.m
    Lucknow Metro services will start from 2:30 p.m. and will continue till 10 p.m.
